Message I'm in the same boat as you, I will be watching this thread. I posted a similar topic about upgrades for the track but not specifically the oil issue. Might be of some interest to check out.

If you have the cash I would go for the SZ oil pan or the EP racing oil pan and accusump. Keep in mind the EP pan is bigger but it requires an oil filter relocate.

If you get the 3 quart accusump I'm sure you would have enough oil to inject for a temporary loss of pressure, there is a formula that can calculate how much time it will give you if the oil pressure drops. Based on the oil pump rating.

There wouldn't be an air pocket, because there should never be any air in the lines as the oil fills/maintains up the accusump on a regular basis. The accusump unit is installed tilted also. Whenever the oil pressure in the engine is lower than the oil pressure in the accusump accumulator it will push oil into the engine to maintain equilibrium. In the same way, with a higher oil pressure in the engine it will fill up the accusump if it releases anything. There are also a few methods for the accusump delivery: manual valve, electric valve and a better electric valve.

I'm going to be running a 3 quart accusump system with a manual valve, to be T'd into my full flow thermostatic oil cooler line. I'm not sure if the SZ pan can be installed without an engine pull. I know EP more than likely can't because of its size.
